El Retiro Park

Located next to the center of Madrid, it has about 350 acres and is very close to the Prado Museum. You can walk or rent a bike to see the different sections of the park. You will see monuments and statues, including the monument dedicated to Alfonso XII. One of the park’s main attractions is the Crystal Palace, which you can access for free. It was built in 1887, with a structure of metal and glass. It is used for art expositions. You will also see the Retiro Pond, where you can rent a small boat and enjoy paddling.
